Sally Sovereign was born on Jan. 26, 1914, the daughter of W. J. "Bill" and Lillian (Frazee) Sovereign. Sally also had a brother, Wlliam F. Sovereign. On Sept. 18, 1934 Sally married a Petoskey attorney, John "Jack" Scott Clark (died on Oct. 7, 2003). The couple did not have any children. Sally was a watercolorist. The Aladdin Company was established by two brothers, William J. and Otto E. Sovereign, as a partnership in 1906. The original name of the company was the North American Construction Company, which changed to the Aladdin Company in 1916. The Company manufactured readi-cut houses, which it sold through mail-order catalogs. It stopped manufacturing houses in 1982 and was legally dissolved in 1987.
